I'm not a log driver...

nor a good dancer. I am Canadian and I did watch this animation in my youth, so perhaps that's why it I remember it so fondly.

The National Film Board of Canada has put more than 700 films and clips online. I will have to have a look around to see if I can use some in class.

I went to the NFB website and looked at some other films. There was one on Newfoundland's role in the war. Strange to hear Newfoundland referred to as an independent country.

Newfoundland's history, as least as far as I learned from Farley Mowatt, is a strange and remarkable one.

I remember this, too--when I was a kid in Alabama. HBO used to show this in the early '80s.

Glad to hear it travelled so well.
