Well, Korean women want to be shielded from the sun but still want their slimness emphasized. Still, I think burkhas could catch on here.
Notice how much they are wearing, even gloves.
BTW, I was hiking in shorts and a T-shirt.

In Muslim countries, women are forced to wear burkhas by men. Here, women are forced to wear such outlandish garb by the beauty industry. "Thou shalt not have dark skin and wrinkles."
Also:
"Thall shalt shiver through winter in fashionable and form-fitting but thin clothes."
