The Coast Guard made several passes through the morning; one with this ship and a few more with a pleasure boat-sized vessel.
It was a good morning at the beach with the little guy. I'm not sure why I didn't photograph him, I guess I wanted to experience the moment, not get wrapped up in saving it for later.
Anyway, we waded and jumped as the waved climbed up the shore but Alex didn't want me to carry him deeper.

Hey, Brian, perhaps you could ask your wife for me:
What sort of permissions would one need for kitesurfing of the beaches around here in the offsesaon (say, May-June and September-November).
Also, how does one find out how to be able to access some of the more deserted beaches.
I'm thinking of taking up powerkiting, and maybe later kite buggying or kitesurfing, but these sports require longer stretches of sandy beach with few or no people. I know have these here--but are people ever allowed to use them?
Perhaps Gangwon's most eminent blogger could shed some light on this.
I've asked the missus and will get back to you.
Hope your time in Canada went well.
Thanks for the "most eminent blogger" remark. Woo-hoo!
